The ASEAN Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (ASEANPEVCA) with host partner DBS Private Bank launched its premier forum for debate & intelligent discussion on December 14, 2015.
With the balance of global economic power shifting from the west to the east, the ASEAN is uniquely positioned at the center of trade routes and advantages of a growing population, expanding middle class, improving infrastructure and growing GDP. As a result, local as well as global investors have been pouring money into the fast-growing ASEAN region. However, it is not all plain sailing; with rising wages & political as well as business risks giving companies many challenges to overcome.
An important question that arises then in the mind of investors is how are markets poised to perform over the next decade? What are managers doing differently to make the most of these opportunities?
We sought answers to the above questions in our first debate, where we watched established industry practitioners duke it out in the “GREAT DEBATE” on December 14th from 3:00-6:00 pm at the DBS Auditorium.
Will investors in ASEAN experience better returns in private equity vs public equity over the next decade?
